COMMUNITY PROJECTS & AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS

Community-Focused

At GTown Talents, we believe that creativity has the power to spark change. Our Community Projects & Awareness Campaigns use the arts as a platform to explore real-life issues, amplify young voices, and inspire social action. Through powerful performances, multimedia storytelling, and collaborations with local partners, we address topics that matter — from mental health and youth identity to domestic abuse and racial equality.

We provide young people with the tools, confidence, and creative guidance to express their views and experiences through drama, music, and digital media. Each project is designed to educate, engage, and empower — helping participants not only develop their artistic talents but also become advocates for positive change in their communities.

Our past and ongoing campaigns include:

‘Unstuck’ – Domestic Abuse Awareness Drama

A Powerful Resource for Supporting Survivors

It has been used by organisations and professionals as a training and awareness resource, helping to spark difficult yet essential conversations within communities and workplaces.

‘A Crisis in Kent’ – Youth Financial Struggles

‘Mental Health’ – Breaking the Silence

Mental health remains one of the most important conversations of our time. This short drama encourages viewers to recognise the signs, seek help, and support others through compassion and understanding.

Views of Our Generation’ – Social Perspectives Through Youth Voices

This project captures the real thoughts, experiences, and opinions of young people through interviews, spoken word, and music. It provides an honest look at how this generation sees the world — from social justice and identity to mental health and hope for the future.

‘Ellenor Hospice’ – Community Collaboration

In partnership with Ellenor Hospice, GTown Talents created a moving visual tribute celebrating compassion, care, and togetherness. The project highlights how creativity can bring comfort and connection to those facing life’s most difficult moments.

‘Stephen Lawrence’ – Honouring a Legacy

This powerful production pays tribute to the legacy of Stephen Lawrence, whose story continues to inspire the fight for justice, equality, and positive change. Through spoken word and performance, our artists honour his life and spark dialogue around racism and unity.

COVID-19 AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS

Why It Matters

Our Community Projects & Awareness Campaigns go beyond performance, they’re about giving young people a voice in the conversations that shape their world. Many of the issues we explore, from mental health and financial hardship to domestic abuse and racial inequality  directly affect young people across Kent and beyond. By involving them in the creative process, we turn awareness into action and help them understand the power of their influence.

Taking part in these projects gives young people:

  • A Platform for Expression – They are encouraged to speak openly about issues that matter to them, turning their stories into meaningful art that inspires others.

  • A Sense of Purpose – Creating work that educates and empowers communities helps participants see the value of their contributions beyond the stage or screen.

  • Practical and Emotional Growth – Through writing, performing, and producing, they build confidence, empathy, and teamwork while developing real-world creative skills.

  • Connection and Belonging – Collaborating with others who share their passion fosters a strong sense of community and shared mission.

For audiences, these projects open doors to understanding, empathy, and positive change. For young people, they serve as a reminder that their voices have power  and that creativity can be a force for transformation in their own lives and in the communities around them.

At GTown Talents, we’ve seen how art can heal, challenge, and inspire. Every project, whether on stage or on screen, represents a collective step toward a more compassionate and connected society.
